Since 1998, La Cigale has welcomed its guests to Baie Nettlé, in Saint-Martin,
in a unique setting right on the edge of the lagoon.

Beneath the palms, with your toes in the sand and facing the sunset,
our family-run restaurant offers traditional and refined French cuisine in an elegant, peaceful, and warm atmosphere.

La Cigale has been awarded two toques by Gault & Millau.

The Cuisine

Our story

La Cigale is a family-owned French restaurant established in 1998 in Saint-Martin.

For more than two decades, our family has been sharing a sincere love for French cuisine, hospitality, and the art of dining.

What began as a simple desire to cook well and welcome guests warmly has become a place where locals and travelers return year after year to celebrate life’s special moments;

anniversaries, birthdays, family gatherings, evenings with friends, and unforgettable sunsets.

The Setting

La Cigale is set directly on the lagoon, offering an open, elegant, and welcoming atmosphere.

With tables on the sand and an open-air setting, the restaurant is designed for many kinds of moments: family gatherings, celebrations, business dinners, evenings with friends, as well as romantic dinners.

The natural surroundings, the changing light of the day, and the relaxed rhythm of the lagoon create an environment where guests feel comfortable taking their time and enjoying the experience, whatever the occasion.

The wine

La Cigale’s wine cellar boasts a fine selection of French wines and Champagnes.

Our head sommelier, Mathias, will guide you through pairings that elevate your meal, introducing you to prestigious Champagne houses, iconic estates, and exceptional French appellations.

Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, and Champagne naturally take pride of place in our cellar.

Our collection features prestigious labels such as Pétrus, Château d’Yquem, Château Haut-Brion, Château Angélus, Château Lafite Rothschild, Romanée-Conti, Corton, Pommard, Clos des Papes, as well as legendary Champagne houses including Dom Pérignon, Ruinart, Cristal by Louis Roederer, and Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle.
